The making of "Boston Skyline, Rendered With Teapots"

Boston Skyline, Rendered With Teapots (see it here) is a print that I made for the SIGGRAPH 2006 Teapot Exhibit.

Several people have asked me how the image was made. I had been meaning to put up a description of my method for a while, but never found the time for it. Fortunately, I was given the honor of presenting the image and how it was made to the Boston Chapter of SIGGRAPH. I created a PowerPoint presentation for the talk, a condensed version of which can be viewed below:
